Oneiric; #7 At The Close

You made me ache the kind
of ache that was born
yesterday. No sense, no
direction, no understanding.

You made me ache the
kind of ache that
has no sense of time.
it comes and goes, comes
and goes, and yet, it hurts
all the time.

You made me ache the kind
of ache, that rules each
inch of my skin, each
drop of my blood.

You made me ache the kind
of ache I still see in
my face, stretched across
the frown that still haunts
me.

You made me ache the kind
of ache that kills me a
little everyday, that wounds
me every second.

You made me ache the kind
of ache that screeches
endlessly in my ears,
scratches endlessly at my wrists.

You made me ache
the kind of ache that
reopens healed wounds,
cuts through calloused
hearts.

You made me ache
the kind of ache, that
aches the most,
because I know it was
me who hurt you, it
was me, all along.

You made me ache
the kind of ache
that bleeds out rotten
souls with words,
because yours was the
purest.

You made me ache
the kind of ache
that cries out
whenever it sees
me ruin you,
the kind of ache
that reeks
of selfishness to
the core.

You make me ache
that kind of ache,
and I wish
I never knew you.

  1. The drawing says everything! Everyone should have someone to swing with:) But…in my counseling room I have seen people heal, and embrace the loss after some years. And they can resume living and build new relationships.Write me a note when it happens:):)

  2. Emotions drip out of this masterpiece, powerful. I had to read this out loud twice, that’s how much this touched my soul. Thank you for sharing, hope you are ok.

  3. So beautiful. This stanza really resonates with me: You made me ache the kind
of ache that kills me a
little everyday, that wounds
me every second. – Write to heal for our collective right to healing. 🙏🏼
